During the winter of 2020-21, a conversation between new friends began involving the use of solar wind data to show what our cameras were capturing during aurora displays. This discussion turned into an informational block display on a website. The suggestion was made to turn the block into a mobile application so it was portable and easy to take out in the field.

On March 22, 2021, after a few weeks of development on Thunkable.com, the Amazing Aurora app was born when it was first released on the Apple App Store. Since then, development has been taken in-house and the app continues to grow and evolve into what you see before you today!
